Hi Gary I was wondering why the bush is called a Rabbit bush. Do the rabbits like to eat the bush or do they make their warren by it? Why did you paint it, did you like the colors?
Just noticed your post, Caroline. Have no idea why it is called that. In Arizona and New Mexico it is called Chimaya. Don't know if rabbits even eat it. I doubt they do. It is very pungent. Very beautiful b looming in August and with frost takes on a beautiful color of tans to nearly white colors to go along with the green foliage that stays that way even with frost. So colorful and covering the countryside the ton artist could help but not paint it.
