I started this Oil Painting of Wild Columbines 16"x20" yesterday. Pretty well have it blocked in. first with Acrylic and now beginning work in Oil. These flowers are currently blooming in the mountains and are real beauties.
WOW Gary ! This a different direction for you or where have I been ? I love this and I'm not a big floral fan. Hurry up, I wanna see the finished piece ! :))
Well now Gary what do we have here. What can you not turn your hand to or should I say paint brush. I love the pretty flowers and can't wait to see them finished. You have so much talent.
Gary, lovely. Can I ask your reason for starting with acrylic and finishing with oil (I assume drying time, but I would be guessing)? Also, is the final painting designated an oil or do people define them as oil over acrylic?
I love your start on the Moose-Grizzly painting. You are so prolific. How many pieces do you work on at a time. With my work being watermedia with faster drying time, I tend to be a serial painter -- one at a time.

These are a departure for you, Gary, and what a gorgeous start! Beautiful!
What versatility, Gary! These flowers are already so beautiful. I can't wait to see them finished.
