I have finished putting the final touches on this Gouache Watercolor Painting.
Detailing out the brush and adding the light to the small spruces on the bottom left hand side. I have downloaded this post larger so by clicking on the image one might get a larger view of the painting.

Very nice Garry. I like the way the sun is hitting the leaves on the foreground trees. a Lovely piece.
Gary these two are stunning, i have never tried Gouache with watercolor, your results are inspiring. Nice to see the steps
Wow - you have been working hard. (But now, after looking at all these snow scenes, I'm shivering cold!!!) Our snow has finally almost melted - we have been watching it inch it's way off the deck and grass! Still have lots of icicles but they are going pretty fast, too.
I printed off your bighorn sheep to paint - but probably not in the near future, hope that is OK? Whenever I do it, I'll let you know.
Good news about that foot! Isn't it funny how you will have a blitz of dr. visits, then none. I envy your wife's eyes, and hope your glaucoma has been caught early.
This looks just like a beautiful photo Gary - a really stunning painting!!!
This is beautiful, Gary. I really like the way you handled the shadows on the snow. Very nice.
This is beautiful. So serene.
Looks remarkably like a photo. Excellent composition.
So beautiful!! The light is incredible!
Truly beautiful scene, Gary. You've done a magnificent job.
Love how you were able to render that wonderful transition from shade to light!
This is a stunning piece Gary! I have just followed your posts through and it is fascinating to follow your progress. It is really popping now! I look forward to following work on your deer piece. I may take up your bighorn sheep challenge if I have time, it is such a magnificent creature!!
Cold, yet very inviting! How did you do that? Perhaps it's that bit of sunlit snow and greenery...beautifully done!
Really nice Gary brrrrrr had to put the heating up a notch :)
Hi Gary!.... Hope that the foot is in on the mend... soon time to be"out there" tromping about!
Love the left forereground light detail... a real eyecatcher! Shadows are nicely used in your composition as well!
Still lots of snow in our area... skiers are happy... but that higher sun tells us all.. that Spring is just around the corner!
Enjoy that cup o' java!
Good painting!
Warm regards,
Bruce
Wow, this is stunning, Gary. I love the contrast of the sun and shadow.
(Just noticed it is in gouache, which I have been wanting to try.)
Your snow paintings are beautiful, both in gouache and oil.
