Gary Keimig: I am a Wyoming native born into a pioneer ranching family. My educational background is in art and biology which has served me well in the art work I love portraying. My art reflects my love and interest in the Rocky Mountain west. Its landscapes and its wildlife. I am particularly interested in wild places and in my art I try to portray the light and texture and how those ingredients affect objects in their environment, and in creating a pleasing realistic design that can be incorporated into a painting. I am touched by the awesomeness and simple spirit of nature and consider my work successful when the viewer is equally touched and in turn catches a glimpse of that enduring spirit of wilderness and meaning within themselves. I thank God for my life and give Him all the praise for all the blessings I have.
