LARAMIE PEAK
15"x20" Oil Painting
The little Episcopal; Church sits out in the open meadow with an unbelievable view behind the pulpit of the Peak.  If the sermon is no good the view always is.
This was the view I had when I worked for the U S Forest Service on the Laramie Peak district of the Medicine Bow National Forest out of Douglas, Wyoming

Wow....I would have missed that little church had you not mentioned it. To me, it's small size puts power into the painting as representing man against God.
Yes, lovely blues. So lovely to have had a beautiful view during your work day. It makes all the difference.

I love the sense of open space ,the building seems so small and lost in it ,really good!

You manage to capture the scale of everything so perfectly, I feel as if I am looking out of a window into your very beautiful landscape.

LOL! Well, at least if that sermon isn't very engaging the scene is right! Cute comment! Lovely painting!

What a glorious setting for a church. To my mind, one can't possibly see this sight and not be reminded of the awesomeness of God. A gorgeous painting, Gary, as always!

Howdy there Gary!... Beautiful wide open spaces that speak so colourfully of the landscape and history of your sensationally beautiful state of Wyoming Gary!

I always enjoy my visit to your blogs! Glad to see that you're "up and at er'... as usual!
