I continue spending several hours a day on my studio makeover but did get quite a bit of work done on my Cottonwood painting. Working on the lights and darks and detail of the trees. 18"x24" Oil Painting on Raymar canvas board

I like the otherworldly nighttime feel of color and shadow.

will we get to see photos of the makeover? These trees are luminous!

I really like that sense of looking down from one peak onto another with the distant rocky walls and ledges behind the trees. Gives a sense of being up in the mountains themselves and this is a perfect little spot of rest, picnic, day dreaming....

Scrumptious colors throughout. Looking forward to seeing what happens next and how the colors transform.

A wonderful painting, Gary..the yellows blaze against the dark blue in background - you have painted the tress so beautifully!
