I have finished this painting. RAMSHORN PEAK 12"x24" Oil. It is from a view NE of Dubois looking across the high plains towards the Ramshorn. The prominent peak above town.

Stunning Gary, just out of curiousity how high is the peak?

thanks folks.
This is the prominent point as seen from town Sam. It is about 11,300 feet elev. and is prominent only by the way its point rises up off the face. If you go back into the mountains behind or to the sides it becomes indescernable from other much higher points reaching over 12,000 feet and a couple of peaks over 13,000 feet.

I love the patterns in the hills. The light seems to dance. Nice!

Love the way these hills just roll and roll on forever. Outstanding job on the atmospheric color changes
