This is lovely Gary! That dark strip of creek running through the snow is perfect!
Love how this is coming along Gary. The depth you have achieved down in the valley is great.
If you painted this 'plein air', please tell me you had on your shearling-lined Levi jacket and boots. Oh! That blue snow shadow color is just amazing. So believable.
Oh, My! I really love this painting! It's amazing, Gary.
those subtle shifts in shades of blue white catch my eye and watching how much you achieve each day is inspiring.
This is coming along beautifully Gary. I thought it was a photograph!
STOP !Love it. :)))
perfect values--very beautiful
On the one hand, I agree with r garriott when it comes to the blue tint of the snow ... it reminds me of some of the photos I take right around dusk. On the other hand, I also tend to agree with Janet Belich who says "STOP !" ... I tend to like landscapes with a sense of wide open spaces. That said, I'm sure I'll get your point when I see what you do with the willows.
Gary,What a beautiful piece...so peaceful and serene. I also love the coolness of it...one can almost feel the coldness of the winter in this piece. Take care.
It is a really lovely piece, you have captured this place beautifully. Just catching up on your wonderful paintings. Enjoyed seeing your sketches too of the deer.Best Wishes.
