Oh my goodness - you have been busy, Gary! The cottonwood tree is going to be grand. Love that you post these works as they progress! The Platte River gouache is going to be a favorite of mine and the 18 x 28 format seems perfect for this one. Glad you are letting us peep into the right side of your brain and over your shoulder as you work out sizing the deer!

Thanks so much for posting your gouache technique. I have a large set of tube gouache (purchased for a workshop) and most of them unopened! I have tried the transparent watercolor using Chinese white - didn't like it and just gave up. I will order the Pebeo white and give it another go! Really appreciate your providing this information and inspiration!
