The biggest advantage to having a busted foot is not having to carry in firewood. My wonderful wife is getting her exercise this winter in doing that as we use 2 wood stoves to heat the house and studio. Plus Vicki is a fanatic when it comes to walking and does so for several miles every day. Snow, rain, sleet, sun and hail.
When I went to get the camera there were three deer just across the fence in background not the least bit concerned about her doing her chores. Soon as I showed up with this camera they departed. You can tell how awful the weather is here.

What a lucky guy you are! Give her a hug and kiss of thanks for taking care of one of our fav artists for us!

Your wife looks very kind - especially wearing her shades in all that "awful" sunshine!!! Now just think - next year you will be getting all that wood in!!! We also heat with wood - used to do the indoor woodstove, but have graduated up to a Tarm boiler - housed in the garage so we don't have to go outside in inclement weather!

at least you have sunshine Gary unlike here in Scotland:) Your wife looks like a very kind person: i guess that is why she is making sure you totally recover to take on ALL the chores soon.

I guess you would have trouble carrying wood while on crutches! Good for your Vicki on the walking regimen, that is the best exercise you can get and she looks very fit to prove it.

When we lived in Colorado Springs I was amazed that it could dump 12 inches of snow on us one day, and we could go out the next day and shovel the drive and sidewalks in shirt sleeves, and yes...we wore our sunglasses! The Rockies are phenomenal.

Methinks you might be enjoying this foot thing a bit too much! Truly though, hope you soon are feeling better! Love the painting below!

Your wife is a treasure - it looks like a great place to take walks even with all the weather.

You may rest now, Gary, but you do realize that Vickie's "honey-do" list is going for when you are healed!!?
Glad you two are doing well through the winter. See you Saturday.

It's so nice you have a wonderful wife like Vicki. She looks great and very fit.
It's team work at it's best.

I hope your foot is still improving Gary.
