Back in a winter mood I have completed this painting that I have been working on the last few days. WINTER SO GRAND is an Oil Painting depicting the Grand Teton rising above a winter fog bank and frosted Cottonwoods and Willow. It is 12"x12"

A "grand" name for a "Grand" painting. Absolutely beautiful! I love the hoar frost on the trees.

Hi Gary! A Majestic piece... great depth of field and colour!

I really enjoyed your epic photographic high country trip! How "I" envy that experience... another time perhaps for this Ontarian!

Hope that the healing process continues to bring "You" back to "normal" speed! Good to have a wife who is willing to "carry the ball"... "I" am fortunate to be in the same position with my lovely and supportive wife Deb!

Thanks for visiting my site... and for your encouraging words! Iam a Follower of yours now... and look forward to our sharing!

Warm regards and Good Painting!
Bruce

You sound like you are healing nicely, plus making good use of your time- what a beautiful scene!
I was surprised that it's 12x12 - it seems vaster. Keep getting better!

Gary,

Since I have lived on the desert most of my life, this is a scene that is very foreign to me and I find it fascinating. Your varying shades of white are just amazing to create the depth and that fog is great, too. The more I look, the more I like, such as that tallest foreground bush reaching up to connect the two foreground groupings together. You teach a lot by allowing us to view your paintings!

Very beautiful Gary. The frosted trees are spectacular and very realistic looking.

Beautiful, as usual. Just take out the mountains and you have the scene out my window today - snow pasted to the tree branches, everything shades of gray and white!

Excellent Gary, the mountains are very dramatic, and now the current snow has made it feel winter again!
